Article 235 of Cameroon Electoral Code indicates that results for the Senatorial elections have to be proclaimed by the Constitutional Council within a maximum period of fifteen days counting from the day of vote.

Chapter 10 of Cameroon Electoral Code bases on elections and its article 234 indicates that results for senatorial elections in each voting bureau has to be subject to verbal process. This is what has been done since Sunday March 25, 2018, day of Senatorial Elections in Cameroon.

Meanwhile, Chapter 11 focuses on vote counting and in its Article 235, precision of pre-proclamation procedures of the results by the Constitutional Council within a time frame of maximum fifteen days; counting from the closing date of vote.

In article 237, it is previewed that this Commission will proceed to the centralisation and counting of the votes and verification of accounts of suffrages and verbal process transmitted by the vote bureau. The Regional Supervisory Commission according to its functions transmits the verbal process to the National Vote Counting Bureau.

It is after all these that the Constitutional Council goes ahead with the proclamation of results of the Senatorial elections according to the disposition of Article 240 of the Electoral Code.
