The electoral board of elections met on Wednesday 7 March 2018 to release lists of candidates retained for Cameroon’s senatorial elections coming up on 25 March 2018.
Out of 42 lists deposited, 36 were retained, and 5 rejected (Adamawa-UPC, East-SDF, Far North-SDF, North-UPC, Southwest-UPC). The Social Democratic Front, withdrew their list in the Center Region.
Five lists were withdrawn for two main reasons: incomplete nomination papers for some candidates and the absence of payment of certificate of payment of deposit.
