This is the headline that is trending on today’s newspapers, as ‘L’independent’ Newspaper puts it the ex-general manager of CAMWATER Sollo Williams and the ex-minister of Water and energy Atangana Kouna were all arrested by the judicial police of the Special Criminal Tribunal yesterday Monday 19th March 2018. These arrest follows a series of operations dubbed ‘operation sparrow hawk’ geared at trapping down all corrupt government officials and bringing them to complete trial. ‘Le Messager’ a French daily reporting on the same affair says the ex-minister of water and energy, the ex-general manager of CAMWATER and several others are alleged to have embezzled state funds. Still it affirms that the arrests were carried out by the judicial Police of the Special Criminal Tribunal. All doubts are to be cleared in due trial procedures as clearly outlined on page 5 of the newspaper.

THE PROGRAMMED BUSINESS FORUM DURING THE STATE VISIT HAS BEEN CANCELLED.
‘Le Messager’ talks on the cancellation of the programmed China-Cameroon business forum scheduled to take place at the Cameroon’s State Visit to China from the 22nd to the 24th of March 2018. The cancellation is blamed on unpreparedness visibly manifested; reason why business operators from Cameroon will no longer be part of the state visit. Page 8 of the newspaper gives in-depth on this.
‘Mutations’ in a related development reports that the Cameroon- China business forum programmed in the Cameroon’s Head of state visit to China has been cancelled. It further reveals that 115 business operators were programmed for the forum. Some patronizing organizations have expressed discontent as a result of the cancellation blamed on unpreparedness.
AFCON 2019: THE CAF TEAM CONTINUES INSPECTION OF PROEJECTS IN CAMEROON.
