Maurice Kamto has joined Joshua Osih and Akere Muna in the race to enter the Unity Palace.
He was elected by his comrades at the weekend during an elective convention of the party.

The youth wing is headed by Nestor Nenswosela who beat Nyeck Valerie.
The women bureau is in the hands of Awasou Mispa from the North-West region. She was the only contender.
Barrister Maurice Kamto is now set to face Joshua Osih from the Social Democratic Front, Akere Muna, and the future hopeful from the ruling CPDM as well as the other contenders.
MRC was founded in 2012, months after Maurice Kamto left the Biya regime.
