Members of the Islamic state group Boko Haram have killed Hauwa Mohammed Liman, an ICRC health worker in Nigeria, held hostage since March.
Liman is of the Nigerian nationality and worked in a hospital supported by the International Committee of Red Cross (ICRC).
The aid worker was abducted alongside two other colleagues while on duty in the town of Rann.
Worthy of note is the fact that, she is not the first worker killed by Boko Haram as ICRC midwife abducted alongside Liman was executed last September. .
The militants said Liman deserved to be killed because she had abandoned Islam to work with the Red Cross

The assassination took place a few hours after members of the international committee for the Red Cross released a statement pleading on the terrorist group to have mercy and spare the worker.
