A new page is open in the history of Cameroon’s Football Federation (Fecafoot), following the election of Seidou Mbombo Njoya in Yaoundé as the federation’s president on December 12, 2018.
Mr. Seidou Mbombo Njoya, elected for a four year mandate won a landslide victory yesterday December 12, in the election that took place at the CAF excellence Centre in Mbangkomo.
He got 46 out of a total number of 66 votes cast, beating his opponents to the finish line.
He is reported to have always been among the strong candidates running for Fecafoot’s top job.
Even a last minute alliance that saw Frank Happi forming a coalition with another strong contender Joseph Antoinne Bell could not stop him from emerging the winner of the election.
After his victory, Mbombo Njoya was graceful as he extended a hand to his opponents, admonishing them to help him resolve the problems plaguing the federation.
