Nine members of the National Commission for the Promotion of Bilingualism and Multi-culturalism have been awarded assorted medals for meritorious services rendered to the nation.
The award ceremony took place yesterday December 19, in the premises of the commission’s head office in Yaoundé, amidst calls for more services in the wake of challenges.
The highest honour was conferred on Mr David,one time governor and minister whose distinguished services over the years earned him the medal of the dignity of the grand officer, next to the grand master.
On his part, Mr Ngwane George who received the knight of the national order honour with a lot of gratitude said the award was not only a recognition of well rendered service, but more so a recognition of the challenges that await them in future.
Three other members of the commission were awarded the national order of merit.
Mr Peter Mafanyi Musonge who also doubles as the president of the commission and the grand chancellor of national orders enticed the distinguished Cameroonians to work harder in the midst of increasing stakes.
