The Cameroon government through the Ministry of Economy and Panning has allocated a budget of about CFA 272million for the construction of the residence of the President of the Constitutional Council.
This comes barely a day after the proclamation of the October 7, 2018 presidential election, with the CPDM candidate, Paul Biya emerging victorious.
This announcement was made known by the state newspaper Cameroon Tribune on October 23, 2018.
The budget of this project would be financed by the Ministry of Economy and Plannig.
Reports say the opening of administrative documents, construction , technical and financial offers will take place from November 28, 2018, with an estimated budget of CFA 272,659 million for a duration of atleast eigth months.
The announcement has brougth in mixed feelings in minds of many Cameroonians
According to Cameroon Info Net, some analysts perceive it as a reward to the latter for the job well done.
He was qppointed by the Head of State alongside ten members of the Constitutional Council in March .
The announcement is all the more intriguing because the institution house at the Congress Hall in Yaounde lacks offices.
