Members of the electoral board of Elections Cameroon (Elecam) were on December 18 in Yaoundé urged to be proactive towards the challenges of upcoming electoral processes.
Speaking at the opening of the fourth ordinary session of the electoral board, Elecam board chair Enow Abrams said their goal is not just to celebrate past successes but to get fully armed towards more challenging tasks ahead.
To the chairperson of the electoral board of Elecam, the revision of electoral registers resumes on January 2, 2019 across the national territory.
This is in prelude to the upcoming legislative and municipal elections in the country.
The registration process will be closely monitored by the electoral board of Elections Cameroon and the Director General of the institution to ensure success in the crucial phase.
Aware of the task ahead, members of the board are set to work towards the achievement of the important rendezvous.
The session which continues will see members of the electoral board addressing short comings and bringing up ways to avoid them in future situations.
