Cameroon’s Senate President Marcel Nyiat Njifenji is back in the country, after a long stay in Europe for medical treatment.
The Senate President appeared on media on December 4 in the capital city Yaounde, after a long absence from the country.
Senator Niat Njifenji who was out of the country for about two months was last seen on the media during the October 7, 2018 presidential election in the country.
On the election day, he was accompanied by his bodyguards in Paris as he performed his civic responsibility as a Cameroonian by casting his vote.
His return to the country and appearance on the media is to reassure the Cameroonian people that he is alive thereby shutting all rumors of his death circulating on social media.
Worthy of note is, Marcel Niat Njifenji while on health vacation in Europe missed some important state official ceremonies like the swearing in of the Head of State H.E President Paul Biya for his seventh mandate, as well as the November Senate session chaired by the Vice President of the Upper House of parliament.
