A forum to launch the third public expenditure tracking survey in health education, nutrition, water, hygiene and sanitation has been held in Yaoundé, with the objective to improve on the welfare of the governed.
The initiative is that of the government of Cameroon for 2035 emergence with the support of UNICEF.
The experts involved in the survey have been told by Cameron’s Paul Tasong to be meticulous in order to assist state in the planning of welfare services.
Four areas of concerned to examine for the year 2018 include health, education, nutrition and a host of others.
The data collection is led by a pool of experts from the National Institute of Statistics in Yaoundé.
The representative of UNICEF for Cameroon Jacques Boyer underscored the importance of the survey, asserting that it would give in the latitude for policy executioners to take stock and chart the way forward in improving on welfare services to vulnerable groups.
These vulnerable groups include women and children from impoverished Cameroonian communities.
Within vision 2035 emergence for Cameroon, the findings will help give a true picture of the realities about public expenditure for amendments to be made where necessary.
