An Agricultural and Professional technical school was inaugurated by the Minister of Secondary Education Nalova Lyonga on September 11 2018 in Yabassi.
This project came about as a result of an agreement signed in 2012 with China, who constructed the school at the cost of 6,480 billion FCFA.
Created two years ago, the technical school which is situated in the Nkam Division of the Littoral Region is aimed at promoting second generation agriculture in the country.
In 2016, the government launched an entrance exam for the recruitment of 200 students of the 1st and 2nd cycles for the 2016-2017 academic years into the school.
The courses that are being taught in the technical institution include; Animal production, vegetable production, maintenance of Agricultural equipment, with the transformation and conservation of Agro pastoral products.
