Less than 1year old, the impacting online English news agency is spreading its tentacles across the national and international territory via partnership and diversification.
With determination, objectivity and fairness right from inception in May 23, 2017, the referral media outlet has stood the stern competition presently existing in the online media sector and is gradually imposing its mark.
Going by disclosures made recently by the CEO/Publisher of Cameroon News Today Boris Kouekam, in the course of a Staff meeting held at the Agency’s headquarter at Chateau-Yaoundé, the Agency will soon launch a 12page newspaper with title “National Weekly”, which will cover striking happenings all over Cameroon.
In the same light of projects, Cameroon News Today-CNT has signed a contract agreement with a licence selling company. In partnership with CNT, the company will put at the disposal of other news agencies like the BBC, France 24, Aljazeera, Indian News Express articles from CNT. This is a remarkable and applaudable move by the young Agency.
Also, CNT is in agreement with Cameroon Hebdo, one of Cameroon’s bilingual weeklies. CNT is in charge of producing all English articles on Cameroon Hebdo. In the same light, CNT is in charge of the English News Desk of Soleil FM.
The high respect of professionalism has gained CNT a place in the CRTV program slot. CNT will in the nearest future produce the English version of Tele Jeune with the program title Youth TV, a 52minutes program which will focus on profiling youths with remarkable successes. It will be a monthly program. Again, CNT is in charge of full production of Inspire 237 Magazine.
At the international level, CNT is in partnership with the United States of America Cry Out TV, all content from Cameroon passes through CNT for Cry Out TV.
It should be pointed out that CNT has received recognition and encouraging remarks from Government Institutions, top ranking personalities and has been referenced by international media like BBC.
Speaking to one of the Agency’s Journalists, the CEO/Publisher of CNT Boris Landry Kouekam gave a tangible reason for criss-crossing the territory in order to grab these opportunities for the Agency: “I am doing all these so that my employees could be comfortable and carry out their duty efficiently. I want to motivate them so that we work hand in gloves and let the Agency grow and also disclaim the hypothesis that Cameroonian youths are lazy and cannot make it on their own”, he said plainly.
The entire staff of CNT pledged dedication and loyalty for the growth of the Agency in particular and the Cameroon media sector in general.
