The normalisation committee whose existence had to come to an end on Wednesday 28 February 2018, has been given six more months.

This decision was taken by a FIFA delegation during a meeting at the Hilton hotel in Yaounde on Tuesday 27 February. The delegation had to be in Cameroon for two days 26 and 27 February to evaluate the performance of the normalisation committee led by Dieudonne Happi.

It was expected that, within 6 months, the election of a new FECAFOOT president, which was one of the main tasks of the normalisation committee should be organised. That has not been the case given that no president has been elected yet and there are equally many irregularities in the Cameroon football circle that the committee is grappling with, like the Amateur championships which are yet to begin.

31st August is the new dateline given to the Normalisation committee to finish up with every task they were put in place for.
