The three time Presidential candidate has decided not to run for the position of President of the Republic of Cameroon ahead of the 2018 upcoming elections.

Analyst say that, the 2018 presidential elections will be held in the month of October or November 2018, but already varied party officials are meeting in congress to select their candidates ahead of the said elections.

Yesterday February 23, the Social Democratic Front opened their ordinary convention with over 3000 party members answering present  at the Bamenda Congress Hall.

While addressing the congress crowd, the chairman of the Social Democratic Front revealed that he will not be candidate to the 2018 presidential elections ” i will not be candidate as i’ve always been, i have decided to leave the competition to the younger generation”.

 

This Saturday, February 24, a key member among those interested to run for the presidential elections; Hon Simon Nchinda, Mbah Ndam and Joshua Osih, will be selected in an extraordinary congress of the SDF party.

In four different elections 1992, 2004 and 2011, Ni John Fru Ndi was the flag bearer of the Social Democratic Front each time challenging unsuccessfully his counterpart of the CPDM party President Paul Biya.
