Eve Marie Owona who successfully grabbed her entrance exam into the Advance School of Mass Communication ESSTIC some three years ago, was allegedly coming back from her village, where she and her fiancé together with some other family members, had gone to gather family blessings, for her marriage which was due to take place, in the month of July 2018.

A source approached by Cameroon News Today-CNT, revealed that “we were together the day before yesterday, she never came to school yesterday because she told me she had to travel to the village, to see her family. she needed traditional blessings for her marriage which was due to be in July”.

Unfortunately upon coming back from the said village, the Prado car registered CA 2096 C, entered in a head-on collision with a lorry transporting timber at the Mvan Brasserie Du Cameroun roundabout in Yaounde, Centre region Cameroon.

Reports coming in from those present at the accident site have it that in the accident which happened at around 11pm that February 16, close to six people all occupants of the said Prado car died.

Our source however adds that, the only survivor is the groom “he was also in the car. He is in the coma at the Yaounde Central Hospital. Corpses of the six others have been transported to the mortuary of the Yaounde Central Hospital”.

The administrative Prado according to the same source belonged to the father in law of the bride who is, Pierre Essomba, Secretary General of the Ministry of Territorial administration and decentralization.

Meantime, friends and families continue to spread messages of consternation and condolences on her Facebook account.
