The indomitable lionesses have been defeated in their qualifier match against Ghana, for the world cup in France.

Cameroon played against Ghana on 27 January 2018 and were beaten 3-0.

Saturday’s encounter counted for the second leg game of the third round of qualifiers for the 2018 U-20 female world cup. It comes after Cameroon played a 1-1 tie against Ghana back in Cameroon for first leg.

Nigeria and Ghana are therefore the two teams that will represent Africa in the competition to be hosted by France from 5-24 August 2018.

Their elimination comes at a time when the intermediate lions have equally been kicked out of the African Nations Championship in Morocco.
