The Economic, Financial, Social and Cultural Programme of the Republic of Cameroon for the year 2018 has been put before the members of Parliament.

The programme was presented this Wednesday November 29 by the Prime Minister and Head of Government, Philemon Yang during a Plenary Sitting chaired by the House Speaker, Hon. Cavaye Yeguie Djibril in the presence of Government Ministers.

Opening the deliberations, the House Speaker acknowledged the absence of some sick MPs and a minute of silence was offered in memoriam of  four soldiers ambushed in a locality situated some 40 KM s to Manfe in the South West Region.

The head of the SDF Parliamentary group, Hon. Banadzem before staging a motion on behalf of the party, bemoaned the assassination of the four soldiers in Manfe before urging the MPs, the government and the head of state to take necessary actions to remedy the worsening situation in the two Anglophone regions.

As the Prime Minister carried out his Presentation, the chanting SDF MPs who took to the Rostrum, looked ever more ready to step up the call for an open debate on the Anglophone Crisis.

In response to the call, the Prime Minister urged the opposition to be patient for it has been taken into consideration and that it will eventually be revisited.

The Prime Minister’s presentation has set the pace for the defending of the 2018 state budget by the respective Ministers involved.
